One of the last living actors of the classic horror era has died.

Stuart who co -starred in The Invisible Man and The Old Dark House (2 James Whale Universal classics from the early 1930′s) was 100 years old and by all reports of people I know who met her was also a classy lady. Many may better remember her as the old woman in Titanic, but for myself I will always remember her in that great looking dress in the Old Dark House alongside that wonderful cast. There are only a couple of actresses from that old Universal era left. Lupita (Spanish DRACULA) Tovar is now the Last (Wo)man Standing, major-player-wise and Carla (English version of DRACULA) Laemmle turns 101 in a couple weeks. Laemmle was a little girl when they shot the silent classic Phantom of the Opera (starring Lon Chaney) and she actually still remembers it! Sweet! RIP.
